Jensen Ford eighth in Scott Bloomquist Tribute at Volunteer Speedway
On Thursday afternoon, Jensen Ford competed in a memorial event honoring the late Scott Bloomquist at Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tenn.) for the $10,000-to-win Scorcher.
Stopping the clock third-quickest out of 25 Late Models, Ford started the 50-lap feature from the second-row before fading outside the Top-5 to finish eighth.
Skipping the opening night of competition, Jensen joined the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series at Thunderhill Raceway (Summertown, Tenn.) for the $15,000-to-win finale on Saturday evening.
Missing the setup in qualifying, Ford was unable to transfer through a heat race and just missed a transfer spot in his B-Main.
