December 12, 2018 - Jensen Ford Set to Open 2019 Season with Sunshine State Slate
1Johnson City, Tennessee (02/26/19) – After a long, cold and wet winter, Jensen Ford is eager to embark on his 2019 campaign. He’ll officially get things underway this weekend – February 28 - March 2 – with a trio of events during the Chevrolet Performance World Championship Week at Bubba Raceway Park.

“Man, this winter has seemed especially grueling, and I’m looking forward to getting things underway this week,” Ford commented. “The past few years we’ve run mainly a partial schedule, but this year will our most aggressive season to date, so I’m really chomping at the bit.”

The 31-year-old racer has spent his entire life around the race track. The 2019 campaign will mark his 12th year of competition. He’ll once again be behind the wheel of his Mike Whitehead Racing No. 83 Whitehead Construction Inc./ TNT Race Car/ Eagle Racing Engine Late Model. To date he has amassed 65-career victories.

“Kicking things off with the Chevrolet Performance World Championship Week will be a nice measuring stick of where we are at with our program,” Ford continued. “There’s going to be a lot of stiff competition, but hopefully we can come away with some big wins.”

The annual Chevrolet Performance World Championship Week at Bubba Raceway Park (Ocala, Florida) will see a trio of events held on February 28 – March 2. Thursday and Friday’s shows each post a $2,000 top prize. On Saturday night the 15th Annual Chevrolet Performance World Championship event will be contested with a $10,000 winner’s check.
